Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously unreachable by conventional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing production and efficiency.
