It was upon this invention that the foundation of the company flourished under. Nowadays, The Liebherr business has grown to become amongst the leading manufacturers in the field of construction machinery. Liebherr-International AG is the Liebherr Group's holding company. They are located within Bulle, Switzerland and are totally owned by members of the Liebherr family. Currently, the family business is being managed in the 2nd generation by Dr. H.C. Willi Liebherr and his sister Dr. H.C. Isolde Liebherr. Since 2012, some of the active individual divisions have been represented by members of the family in the 3rd generation including: Sophie Albrecht, Jan Liebherr, Stefanie Wohlfarth and Patricia Ruf. These members of the family have been working hard together to help set up the course of the family business in the future. Hans Liebherr started to build his company in the year 1949, within a small town called Kirchdorf within southern Germany. Kirchdorf, now supports amongst Liebherr's 20 manufacturing locations.
