Established during 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes began as a family business within the Northern Italy's largest industrial place. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into a manufacturing and industrial economy, the company was working in welded construction industries and the metal structural sector. FMgru was involved in building bridges for roads, pylons to convey electricity, a wide array of presses, forklifts, prefabrication molds and farming machines.
The company began crane production in 1963. Over time, the company pooled all of its resources into this one activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest level of specialization in the area of lifting.
