Used Peiner Construction Cranes Berkeley

SMAG is a German company and world leader in the manufacture and design of Peiner Buckets and Grapples. Our manufacturing line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting devices, single rope radio control grabs and a variety of other kinds of specialized lifting machines.

To date, Peiner has supplied over 75,000 units throughout the globe. Our unique grabs handle a variety of materials from iron ores, cement, coke, fertilizers, scrap and refuse, amongst a variety of other things. Our many years of experience in making high quality products and the overall designing process helps to enable our customers be given the proven technology their diverse applications require.

Within the United States marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Different businesses like for example Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, Bulk Transfer Facilities as well as numerous other material handling facilities are now using our buckets and grabs to get their jobs done.

Peiner's design philosophy has always revolved around the idea of making grabs which handle the largest volume rather than grab dead weight. Normally, the grab and bucket lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight versus 40 percent grab dead weight. This means transporting more quantities of supplies faster. There is less wear and tear on the crane structure and its related parts. Through a combination of innovative design and high quality materials with manufacturing, the weight ration which is desired is attained.

In order to meet the particular needs of our clients' individual requirements, grab sizes vary from less than 1 cubic yard to more than 50 cubic yards. What's more, Peiner USA Inc. offers a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the models sold in the USA, along with the addition of brand new buckets and grabs.
