Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move materials and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
Pallet trucks must be operated with care in order to prevent loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be carefully stacked to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
To lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever found on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be in the middle to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is really dangerous to push the pallet in front of you as the momentum can cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
