Used Doosan Large Capacity Forklifts Berkeley

Forklifts are essential tools used in industries today. Companies which utilize forklifts need to understand their significance, their functional requirements, and the safety aspects involved in forklift operation. Forklifts are really a great investment which will increase workplace efficiency and productivity.

Significance
The lift truck provides an effective and efficient way to move goods and products. These modern machinery transport a large range of heavy goods in all kinds of environments. Forklifts are used to move bulky and heavy objects that would otherwise have to be transported by hand in smaller units.

Function
Forklifts can reach racks as high as 9 to 12 meters. This enables efficient use of maximum storage capacity inside a warehouse or retail store. The forks move up and down by a telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the forklift mast. Various sets of hydraulic cylinders are used so as to tilt the mast and shift it to the side, for positioning. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder is an attachment that enables an even higher lift through the use of a hydraulic cylinder system that works a lot similar to a telescope. Each and every section slides inside the other similar to sections of a telescope.

Features
Separate levers control the up and down, tilt, and side shift. To lift the forks, the driver pulls back on the up and down lever. To lower the forks, the driver pushes the lever forward. Tilt the load back by pulling back the lever, push it forward to tilt the load forward. The side shift lever controls the forks left and right movement. Unlike automobiles, forklifts steer from the back tires. This allows the lift truck to turn in a very small radius. The transmission reverse and forward controls are located on the steering column.
